You probably know that calcium plays a key role in keeping your bones strong in preventing osteoporosis what many people don’t realize is that calcium is just one of the many vitamins and minerals that you need to keep your bones healthy.

In fact, when you think about good bone health you should think not only of adding helpful vitamins to your diet but also of stopping some of the bad nutritional habits you have which may be robbing your body of these important nutrients.

While many people think that not getting enough calcium is what causes osteoporosis, in major dietary cause of it is actually eating foods which are very acidic in nature. In addition to cutting back on these treats, there are other superfoods you can eat to help keep your PH in balance and, therefore, your bones and other organs healthy. Dark leafy vegetables, broccoli, celery and cabbage can all help in this endeavor. Organic planet-based vitamins and whole foods vitamins are a great way to get more calcium and magnesium in your diet. And don’t forget adding a sea vegetable supplement such as kelp and seaweed is these are naturally alkaline.
